Given the wash out that all you Eventers and budding Eventers had in 2012 we are excited to announce a new format competition to kick start your 2013 season !
The competition will include three elements; dressage, show-jumping and a xc/arena event. To make it flexible for everyone the dressage and show-jumping elements will be taken from our Jan and Feb dressage and show-jumping shows and we will run a final event on the 30th March where all entrants will compete over a xc/arena course set up in the indoor/outdoor school. Not only is it flexible in terms of dates that you can attend and levels you can compete at it is also weather proof (ish!).
Interested ?
How will it work ?
Dressage – best penalty score from either of our Jan or Feb shows will count, this must be from a Prelim test or above. You can take part in both months and do more than one test and then pick your best score from the lot.
Show-jumping – best penalty score from one round from either Jan or Feb monthly shows, must be from 65cm class or higher, so you can keep jumping until you get a clear!
Indoor/outdoor arena event – to be held in March, will be run to an optimum time, competitors can compete over two heights and choose which round will count, there will be four heights; 65cm, 75cm, 85cm, 1m.
Prizes for first and second, rosettes to sixth place and separate junior and senior awards if numbers are sufficient.
Entry for all three elements (one dressage test, one round of sj and two rounds of xc) if you pay in advance £38 (members £33) which will be a saving of £4 versus paying individually.
You can pay in advance anytime up to the 12th of February which is the closing date for the Feb dressage show. If you want to take one event at a time then enter for the XC in March, entries must be in by the end of Feb 2013. We will still manage to dig out your test results and SJ scores from Jan and Feb !
If you have any questions do not hesitate to get in touch, it’s a new event for us and we are looking for feedback and gaps in our thinking !
