Two West Kype regulars, Sheona McNeill and Jennifer Wisdom feature in this week’s edition of the Horse and Hound (24th Jan) featuring reports of their dressage successes accompanied by super photographs !

Sheona, who is an active member of Polnoon Riding Club and a key organiser of the dressage events at West Kype, was celebrating two medium open wins at Rowallan on the weekend of the 18-20 January, riding her 17 y.o. Irish sport horse Santa’s Ghost. Sheona is hoping to bring Santa out at advanced medium in a couple of months.

Jennifer was competing in her first affiliated competition with Pentrefelin Serena and won her Novice class with 66.67% and was placed second in her Prelim class on 70.43%. This is the most recent of many successes for Jennifer, she has twice competed and been placed at the Pony Club National Dressage competition which has an extrememly high standard. Jennifer is also known to leave the ground, picking up some rosettes at West Kype show jumping events. She currently leads the West Kype winter dressage league with her other pony, Pentrefelin Starlight.
