Rowallan Activity Centre and First Saddlery, who’s shop is based at Rowallan, have finalised the dates and details of their new Unaffiliated Jumping Series. This follows on from a very successful dressage series which Rowallan have run for many years.
Qualifiers will be held at various venues throughout Scotland culminating in a final to be held at Rowallan in October/November 2013 (date to be confirmed).
All qualifiers will be run under British Show Jumping rules as outlined in the 2013 rulebook except where varied below. There are 9 qualifiers at all heights from 15cms, 30cms, 40cms, 50cms 60cms, 70cms, 80cms, 90cms to 1m levels. This is an unaffiliated competition but affiliated BS members & Academy members may enter. They must be run under Table A7 or single phase or 2 phase. As the height of our classes as West Kype are run in 5s rather than 0s i.e 65cm rather than 60cm, those qualifying will compete in the final at the class 5cm below that in which they are placed at West Kype. This ensures everyone has proved they can compete over the height they will enter in the finals.
Any RIDER may ride a horse with any winnings at any level. Ponies must be ridden by riders of correct age. 128s by riders up to 12, 138s by riders aged up to 14 & 148s by riders aged up to 16 on the date they qualify.
HORSES
a) that compete at 60cms or below may not compete at 90cms & 1m level on the same day.
b) that qualify for the finals of the 60cms or below that also qualify for the 90cms or 1m levels must forfeit their qualification at the lower level.
c) that win a RFS series in the past must compete at a higher level the following year. The winner of the 1m Championship cannot therefore compete the following year at all in the series.
QUALIFICATION.
i) The 1st 6 qualify in every qualifier, provided they jump a double clear.
ii) The qualification does not go down the line
iii) Only the rider/horse combination that qualifies can enter the finals.
iv) The qualification is finalised only when Rowallan AC receive the qualification letter, which the organiser will distribute at the qualifiers, duly filled in by the rider.
The FINALS of all 18 qualifiers (9 pony & 9 horse at each height) will be at Rowallan Activity Centre in 2013 in Oct/Nov. There will be prizes – to be announced – for the top 6 at all levels very generously supported by First Saddlery based at Rowallan AC.
WKRC will be running qualifiers in all of our classes at the monthly Saturday shows between now and October. If you have any questions please speak to either Gillian or Linda.
