Thanks goodness that all of the rain and the hail had fallen out of the sky on Strathaven earlier in the afternoon and we had a nice dry night !
The indoor area sectioned off for ponies and horses was welcomed but luckily not necessary although it did appear that some of the ponies were trying to reverse towards the patio heater to warm up their bums ! The only sign of summer was that fact that we only needed the outdoor lights for the jump off of the Open. Hopefully in a fortnight’s time we’ll have more signs such as heat and sunshine !!
