West Kype regulars are demonstrating the breadth of their expertise in the Horse and Hound this year, previously we have made mention of show-jumper Jenna Letham and dressage rider Jennifer Wisdom, now eventer Laura Mitchell is mentioned in the results! In the first weekend in April, Laura travelled to her first affiliated BE event of the season at Eden Valley in Penrith, a third place in the BE80(T) made the long trip worthwhile. Laura finished third in Section J on her dressage score of 38.5 with her pony Killycooly, narrowly beaten by those in second on 37.5 penalties and the leader on 36.2 penalties. Laura and her pony have registered with BE this year and plan to travel the length and breadth of Scotland to make up for the poor eventing season last year that resulted from the weather.
