Many congratulations to West Kype riders Meghan Ballantyne, Rachael-Ann Clark and Verity Kennett who have all qualified for one of the Scottish BS Academy teams travelling to the national championships at Weston Lawns in August. All three riders attend the monthly BS Lanarkshire Academy at West Kype and qualified at the recent BS Academy camp held at SNEC where 60 riders competed for places in the teams that will represent Scotland.

This is the second year that Meghan has made the team but a first for Verity and Rachael-Ann. Verity will compete in the 70/80cm combined Ponies team, Meghan in the 105/110cm Ponies team and Rachael-Ann in the 105/110cm Horses team. The competition was fierce with competitors the length of Scotland from the Black Isle and Aberdeen to Newton Stewart and Kelso, travelling to compete.

We wish all three girls and  their teams the very best of luck at the Championships in August.
